Our client, operating in the gaming industry, is recruiting a NOC Engineer to join their 24/7 team in Malta. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the systems of the company's casino & sportsbook platform which drives dozens of gaming websites. Additionally, the responsibilities will also include:
- Monitoring of all production networks, servers, applications and services
- Providing a timely response to all incidents, outages and performance alerts
- Categorising issues for escalation to appropriate technical/operational teams
- Performing basic troubleshooting and operational tasks such as the deployment of patches
- and script execution
- Being the single-Point-of-Contact for all communication in relation to production issues
- Managing, maintaining and improving ticketing system and surrounding processes
- Notifing customer and third-party service providers of issues, outages and remediation
- status
- Participating in a 24/7 shift rotation schedule being; day, night, rest, off
- Working compensated overtime as necessary
Experience:
- Relevant qualification in a relevant field such as Computer Studies etc.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar environment
- Experience working in a 24×7 mission-critical environment is considered an asset
- Basic system administration skills on Linux and Windows Systems
- Basic database administration skills (SQL)
- Basic network troubleshooting skills
- Willing to work shifts including weekends, in a 24/7/365 NOC environment
- Previous experience in the gaming industry will be considered as an asset
