Our client, an established player in the furniture business, is recruiting a Financial Controller to join and lead the team. Being responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company and leading a team of finance executives, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the CEO in setting up and administering budgets, financial reporting, financial management systems and forecasts.
• Creating monthly financial reports, together with the team and present them to the management
• Collecting, analysing, and consolidating financial data
• Managing the annual budget and monitoring company performance in accordance with this budget
• Providing guidance to the executive management on financial decisions
• Establishing, controlling, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Overseeing all accounting procedures, including month-end close.
• Managing any VAT or Tax processes and serve as Point of Contact for any queries from management related to the matter.
• Liaise with relevant authorities in providing correct and updated financial reporting
• Monitoring and planning cash flow and related procedures
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as investors, insurers, lenders, and auditors.

Experience & Skills:

• Master's Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or the equivalent
• 5 years of experience working in finance or in a similar position
• Conscientious and attentive to detail
• Meticulous and problem solving
• Ability to work well in a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Possess strong leadership qualities 
• Assertive in your approach
