Accounts Clerk

Our client, working within the Health Care industry, is recruiting an Accounts Clerk to join their Finance Department. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the ideal candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Collecting and sorting payments and payment allocations
  • Preparing patients' refunds, and sending cheque payments by post, in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a thorough record of business transactions
  • Keeping the company’s general ledger up to date on a daily basis
  • Issuing payments and maintaining updated records, as required
  • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of all company charges, as well as refunds that have been issued
  • Issuing payments to third parties and service providers
  • Performing other day-to-day accounting or clerical duties to support the Department
  • Performing ad hoc or other duties, as may be assigned from time to time by management.

Education & Experience:


  • AAT or A-level standard in Accounts
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to listen and learn quickly
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Organized, responsible, with an excellent eye for detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
